This has to be the worst soccer team on the planet...
In July's "World Soccer" magazine, I was skimming over the results and standings of various leagues, when I came across this amazing line, which belongs to the Chernomorets team of Bulgaria: 30 games played, 0 wins, 1 draw, 29 losses 8 goals for, 131 goals against, -2 points Now considering that teams get 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw, and 0 for a loss, how did Chernomorets' total come to -2? According to the footnotes, the team had 3 points deducted after failing to register enough youth players. A more serious entry...
I don't know why this has entered my mind recently, but I'd really like to be in a relationship again. Maybe I've been spending too much time on Facebook, where most of my friends are either in long, steady relationships, or have just started new ones. My left foot has been bothering me since Sunday evening. The middle part of that foot is really, really sore. It seems whenever I try to walk normally, I get a shooting pain up my foot and my ankle. It felt a little better today when I went over to the library around 5:00, but the pain is still lingering. Still no word from The Meadows regarding whether I got a position there or not...I'll have to call them tomorrow. My mom e-mailed me today saying that Bob Evans and Weis were hiring...we'll see. The above quote provided by Pittsburgh Penguins radio broadcaster, Mike Lang. It was uttered after the Pens scored less than a minute into today's Game 3 Eastern Conf. Quarterfinal against Ottawa. Pitt lost, 4-2. Went to see Colin (Mochrie) and Brad (Sherwood)'s improv show last night at the Meyerhoff. Funny stuff, as usual. The volunteers called up on stage weren't as good as they could have been, but Colin and Brad worked their way around it brilliantly. Games that were played included "Sound Effects", "The Torture Game" (five games rolled up into one), "Interrogation", "Puppeteer", and of course, "The World's Most Dangerous Improv Game" (AKA "Mousetraps"). The AFL Show Podcast
I just stumbled onto this website, http://afl.thepodcastnetwork.com/, where two guys, Jeff and Paul, talk about Aussie Rules on their weekly podcast (they also have a show on YouTube). They're pretty funny, even though I miss about 95% of the Australian references. I'll have to make it a weekly habit, and those of you who are AFL fans should do so as well. Yours truly turned 21 today, and it was a pretty good day, even though I still had to attend classes. The weather outside was surprisingly mild, with little wind when I was walking to and from classes. Thanks to all of the Facebookers and others for the birthday wishes.
