So, a few weeks ago, I noticed on a 20 oz. bottle of Coke I had bought from the lounge's vending machine, that the cap had a code on it. It said to go to mycokerewards.com and enter in the code to earn points towards assorted Coke gear and stuff. They were running promotions in conjunction with the NCAA Tournament and the FIFA World Cup. One item that caught my eye was a Team USA World Cup hat for 100 Coke points.
Now, you earn 3 points for every code you enter off of a 20 oz. Coke product, so, to get this hat, I'd need to drink 34 Cokes (for 102 points) to cover the point spread. At $1.25 a bottle at UMBC, that means I'd probably be spending $42.50 for a hat that probably costs half as much. That's where they get ya! Oh well, but it's a cool hat!
Only need 85 (well, really, 87) more points to send in for the hat. Not sure when the promotion ends, though.
Footy Tipping Update:
After Round 1: 5-3
Overall: 5-3, tied for 5th in my group
